Job description: Berry Recruitment is hiring! We require a Permanent Catering/Food Service Assistant to work for our client in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Salary: £11.87 per hour
Location: Abingdon
Hours: 40 hours (Required to work any 5 out of 7 days per week)
Mixture of early, days, evenings and weekend shifts
Start date: ASAP
About the role:
As the Catering Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in meal preparation for students and staff
- Prepare food service and dining areas for each meal service.
- Serve food at designated times, adhering to temperature control guidelines.
- Perform cleaning duties as per schedules and checklists.
- Wash kitchen and service equipment.
- Occasionally provide light refreshments for visitors or special functions.
- Prepare and assist in extra services as needed, occasionally beyond regular hours.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
About you:
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 7 hours)
- Experience of serving customers in a food and beverage environment
