DESCRIPTION:

A well-known Welsh company with brand image for feed quality, personal customer service and technical support seeks a cattle sales specialist. The company is able to offer dairy and cattle farmers, a broad full portfolio of compounds, blends, and fertilisers.

Enthusiastic candidates with a successful track record of sales to farm will need to demonstrate their ability to expand an existing ledger. Enthusiastic candidates will need to demonstrate nutritional technical ability in front of dairy and livestock farmers by being able to provide on farm customer support and troubleshooting as required. The successful candidate will need to handle some of the company’s existing dairy and beef accounts as well as promoting and selling the company’s quality range of ruminant diets.

In a changing farming industry, a self-starting and dynamic individual that will demonstrate to farmers a winning farm business empathy. Computer literacy, excellent livestock knowledge and excellent communication skills plus an outgoing personality are required as a minimum. An agricultural qualification would be considered advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

This role could suit either a dairy herdsperson or an agricultural college/university graduate with at least three years first class practical experience of working with dairy cows or beef cattle. Candidates need to have a common sense but informed knowledge of achieving profitable livestock production.
