Job description: Mercian Logistics is part of the Cathay Investments Group and we are looking for someone to join our small but friendly team as Class 1 Driver / Warehouse Supervisor based at our site in Ross.The main purpose of this role is to manage and maintain the day to day operation of the business, in line with the agreed targets and procedures.Key Tasks:
- Provide clear leadership to the team and ensure all escalation processes are followed.
- Driving a HGV Class 1 Truck
- Timely delivery of goods to customers on specific routes
- Collection of goods
- Overview all areas to ensure quality of service to all customers , depots and suppliers.
- Representing the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Skills required:
- Relevant experience within a similar role
- Proven ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management
- Positive outlook
- Good teamwork
- Ability to communicate well in both written and verbal form.
This role is 100% office based and no agency applications will be accepted.
Expected salary: £30000 per year
Location: Gorsley, Gloucestershire – Herefordshire
