All About the Role
Based at our Kass Steel, Scunthorpe site, the purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods within the Lincolnshire area, and supporting in the warehouse when required. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 07:00am to 3:30pm plus overtime when required.
Specific tasks include:
- To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
- Driving Class 2 Vehicles.
- Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.
- To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
- To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
- Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards at all time
- Working in the warehouse when required to fulfil orders
- Operating an FLT and overhead crane (with full training)

All About You
Essential Skills for the role:
- To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
- Knowledge of working time directive.
- Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business, steel would be beneficial
- Understanding and experience of EHS requirements.
