What you’ll do:

  • Supervise the Animal Housing cleaning team to ensure cleaning delivered by days and shift team to required quality and output standard.
  • To carry out cleaning to desired quality of cleaning as per the output scope for Animal Housing
  • Complete weekly rotas for the team, ensuring the team know what is required for that day/shift
  • To manage cover sickness and holiday with support of team leader, making sure units have correct staffing to carry daily operations
  • Ensure team are trained and working safety with equipment.
  • Ensure team have correct PPE to carry out day to day tasks
  • To Ensure all team members have read understood and signed all relevant task risk assessment’s
  • To Highlight any safety concerns via near miss reporting and safety walks
  • To ensure Coshh risk assessments are current and staff are aware of how to use the respective chemicals safely
  • To attend daily huddle debriefs and communicate information when required.
  • To attend morning meetings on units to gain requirements for the day.
  • To highlight any issues within their team around performance, quality etc to their Team Leader.
  • To undertake any reasonable task requested by their manager
  • To raise any efficiency or innovation ideas to their line manager

What you bring:

  • Able to work a shift pattern including weekends
  • Experience using chemicals and machinery safely
  • Relevant experience in a customer facing role
  • A reliable, punctual well presented person with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Cleaning Experience
  • Team Player and a ‘can do’ attitude
