Job description: Location: South Kensington, SW7Salary: circa £60,000 per yearWe are looking for a Cleaning Manager, you’ll be someone who is organised and energetic with great leadership skills as well as passion for cleaning and for people. This role will suit someone who likes to be hands-on!!You’ll be responsible for leading of the cleaning operation at their building(s), ensuring the best service in delivered through operational hours.have previous experience as a Cleaning Manager, Cleaning Assistant Manager , Senior Supervisor or Soft Services Manager in cleaning contract services for at least 3 years.Key Accountabilities

  • Take responsibility for the management and development of the cleaning contract.
  • Work with and support our client’s Facilities Department and team members in the day-to-day service delivery.
  • Maximize contract profitability and minimise contract losses through the delivery of a consistently high standard of customer service which meets the contract specification.
  • Communicate effectively with the client, NOONAN team and sub-contractors on a daily basis
  • Ensure staff retention and motivation and develop team members.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of internal management information and client reports.
  • To be accountable for the development of employees by identifying training needs and utilising resources provided by the company to progress their skills and knowledge.
  • To select, recruit and vet employees in alignment with Company and Client policies, terms and conditions, and be accountable for their induction and ongoing training and development.
  • To ensure compliance with all company’s HR policies and procedures by strictly adhering to and acting upon within authority, and that no action is initiated unless authorised by your line Managers or HR.
  • To actively encourage and promote team spirit and development.
  • To recognize the potential for growth within the contract and for new business and communicate these to your line manager.
  • To be accountable for payroll and ensure that all relative documentation is prepared in line with appropriate deadlines and budget controls.
  • To participate and represent the company at client meeting, monthly management meetings and ensure that all tasks set are completed within the designated timescale.
  • To ensure that all additional project work is commenced, progressed and concluded to the satisfaction of the client.
  • To ensure that all necessary resources, materials and machines are available and on site and maintained to contract specification.
  • To prepare quotes for one off work .
  • To manage all relevant services (sub-contractors) on site.
  • To be accountable and to respond to all relevant corrective actions or help desk issues appropriately within the designated time scales and complete all necessary documentation.
  • To manage the company site pack/ staff files to ensure they contain all the relevant and up to date company documentation.
  • To be accountable for the implementation and adherence to all Company Health and Safety policies, procedures and instructions and to confirm their effectiveness through planned Health & Safety audits and regular reviews.
  • To order materials, chemicals and equipment ensuring in line with budget.
  • To attend training courses as requested and update own personal skills and knowledge in areas of business, cleaning industry advancement and in particular health & safety.
  • Provide daily report of site activities
  • Ensure the contract is operating to and exceeding the required specification and performance and is regularly audited in line with specification
  • Ensure business sector is fully compliant with Industry Standards, relevant employment legislation, ISO and Company procedures & policies
  • Endorse new Company initiatives and ensure they are implemented on site
  • Due to the nature of the role, extra hours and weekend work may be required for which you will be notified in advance and paid accordingly.
  • Inspect the facilities regularly to ensure a high standard of work is maintained.
  • Take a hands-on approach to cleaning throughout the site.
  • Handle complaints, accidents and incidents, ensuring appropriate resolution.

Site Specific responsibilities

  • Manage cleaning operation of Amazon sites but this can vary depending on the business need.
  • Ensure the standard of service delivery is in line with agreed service levels.
  • Ensure all building cleaning ticket requests are completed and closed off in accordance with client processes.
  • To produce periodic cleaning reports and schedules in conjunction with onsite FM.
  • Monitor the work completed against worked planned and identify actions improvement required to bring any shortfalls back in line with site schedule.
  • Site Budget management
  • Identify cost efficiencies by the use of site cleaning consumables.
  • Site performance review and develop business opportunities, if appropriate
  • Manage and develop people to promote high morale and motivation.
  • Manage Staff HR process and procedures with conjunction and guidance of NOONAN HR department.
  • Recognise good performers in your team and actively manage poor performance.
  • Raise all health and safety building concerns via appropriate channel (both Client and NOONAN procedures).
  • Endorse new Company initiatives/technology and ensure they are implemented on site
  • To produce weekly ,monthly and ad-hoc reports to Line Manager, NOONAN senior management team or at request of the client.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Have previous cleaning experience, with excellent knowledge of cleaning materials and techniques.
  • Have a confident and flexible approach, with previous experience managing and directing cleaning and facilities staff.
  • Be highly organised and be able to schedule staff rotas and distribute work evenly.
  • Previous experience interacting with and influencing the client senior management team
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Will have knowledge of reporting requirements within and understanding of KPI’s
  • Highly flexible with a demonstrated willingness to take on a responsible approach to any issues
  • Practical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Be a team player with the ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Have passion for people and cleaning.
