ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at The Economy Department. As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service delivery across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations, focusing on performance, standards, and timely delivery.
  • Ensure tasks are completed to BICSc standards and site specifications as per cleaning schedules.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with client representatives, promoting council services.
  • Deliver a first-class service in all areas of responsibility.
  • Drive productivity, adherence to work schedules, and timely completion of documentation.
  • Foster a one-team approach among cleaning operatives, encouraging innovation and improvement.
  • Manage team performance and escalate issues to the management team.
  • Lead and promote engagement, empowerment, and service excellence.
  • Conduct regular audits on standards and due diligence documentation.
  • Support in maintaining and updating risk assessments and method statements.
  • Meet regularly with site teams to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Oversee employee induction, training, and development.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in managing cleaning contract sites or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of cleaning to BICSc Standards and company auditing procedures.
  • Experience in working to budgets.
  • Cleaning-related training (NVQ or BICSc qualification).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Energetic, punctual, and reliable with a proactive approach.
