CLIENT SERVICES / INTERNAL SALES – PACKAGING
MANCHESTER

Working Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Our client is a well-established, family-owned converter of packaging and board who is currently looking to expand their team.
An exciting opportunity has come up and they are now looking for a Client Services / Internal Sales to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Achieving Sales Budgets
- Maintaining and maximising profit margins
- Proactive selling, using CVP & YTD v Budget and OLS reports to retain and develop business within existing accounts, maximising customer contact
- Monitor sales and usage patterns
- Customer enquiries: stock lines quoted
24 hours. Bespoke / non-stock lines
48 hours * Conversion of quotations to order ratio
15% * Actively seek out new sales opportunities with prospective customers including Telesales
- Measures:
- Customer Services Meetings Weekly
- MTD v Budget analysis
- Discuss successes / issues and agree action points
- DH analyses sales margins daily/weekly
- CS price enquiries in line with existing business, maintaining margin
- Enquiries Report and conversion rates
- Activity reports analysis
- Pipelines
- Interaction and support with Field Sales
- Management & accurate processing of all orders received within the specified timescales
- Communication of customer requirements to despatch teams to ensure customer order and sample requirements are met
- Communicate delivery/product issues to customers & colleagues with appropriate manner
- Deal satisfactorily with all customer queries within 1 working day of any query being raised, referring it to Management as necessary
- Recognise, process, and follow up suitable sales prospects as agreed with the Customer Services Manager
- Build excellent relationships with customers and ensure that their needs are fully met
- Complete daily activity logs
- Dealing with customer and supplier complaints and quality issues in a timely and appropriate manner including arrangements of collections and replacements
- Provide assessments of customer needs and actions required for Friday meeting
- Review orders taken and sales completed on a weekly basis and advise Customer Services Manager on how profitability as well as service to the customer may be improved
- Ensure all paperwork including delivery notes and invoices are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard
- Report any known quality issues or competitor activity immediately
- General administration including but not limited to; Delivery booking on behalf of suppliers, liaising with external hauliers to ensure customer delivery requirements are met, checking Transport invoices and measuring haulier KPIs
- To ensure area of work is safe, clean and tidy at all times
- Conduct oneself in line with company policy and procedures adhering to all quality systems and legal regulations in place
