Contract type: Fixed term for 12 months

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join one of the research groups at the School of Medicine and Population Health and will concentrate on Research in Children and Young People at The University of Sheffield. The School of Medicine and Population Health combines strong basic and clinical science groups to create a major focus on translational research. Your research should be aligned with the active Research Themes and will be based at Sheffield Children’s Hospital or one of Divisions of the of School of Medicine and Population Health (www.sheffield.ac.uk/smph/research).

You will undertake a research project under the supervision of a Clinical Academic, Academic (basic scientist) or a Consultant with an honorary academic contract. You will require at least one supervisor with a substantive contract with The University of Sheffield. You will provide middle grade on-call duties at Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop. You may be required to undertake some of the clinical work at Doncaster Royal Infirmary (DRI) as well, dependent on current and future service needs.  Applicants should hold a basic medical degree and should hold MRCPCH (or equivalent). There are currently three Doncaster and Bassetlaw Clinical Fellow posts.
