As they continue to grow and innovate, they are now seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The Cloud Architect will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer and will take a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity for candidates with a strong background in cloud computing, a passion for healthcare, and the ability to translate technical requirements into effective and scalable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and recommends cloud services, technologies, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and performance of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead initiatives to migrate existing applications and systems to the cloud, optimising for performance and cost.
  • Provide guidance on cloud-related policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure adherence to industry standards.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of cloud services (including Azure) and their features.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in the cloud environment.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions in large-scale environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and emerging trends

Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications for Azure – this is essential
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

The salary on offer is circa £90,000 depending on experience
