College Estates Surveyor at University of Cambridge

Job Description

Full-time, 35 hours per week

Girton College is seeking a RICS-qualified Estates Surveyor who will oversee estate planning, maintenance, and development, ensuring sustainability and compliance with listed building regulations.  The Estates Surveyor will have a lead role on two of the largest projects currently planned in collegiate Cambridge: a major estate expansion including significant new accommodation and an iconic auditorium; and a multi-year decarbonisation programme.

The individual will manage the overall capital expenditure budget and act as the client representative for the above, and other, major building projects. They will liaise with planners, local authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of strategic objectives.  They will work on a diverse and historic estate while contributing to Girton’s ambition to become one of the greenest academic institutions in the country.

RICS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation, proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) are essential for this role.
