Opportunity…

We are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Data Analyst to join the Insight & Improvement Team within the Supply Chain Client function.

As the Data Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and managing strategic reporting for the Supply Chain function, and have data, reporting and systems experience. You will support the establishment of the supplier performance reporting capability for HPC and will need to develop strong working relationships across the different HPC programmes and support functions, bringing together reporting and insight best practice.

You will report to the Commercial Manager – Reporting & Insight and be responsible for maintaining a suite of data and intelligence points in order that we can deliver high quality and accurate Supply Chain reports. This will require a combination of strategic insight and detail-oriented analysis of data.

As a Commercial Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the generation of contract and supplier performance reports. Interaction will include presenting insight, performance statistics and data analysis to drive better performance and enhance understanding of the Supply Chain. There may be occasional exposure to the wider Project where Supply Chain data will be presented.

What you’ll be doing…

Your key duties will be required to carry out are:

  • Provide insight and reporting to improve commercial and contractual performance, including:

o Delivery of reporting cycle for commercial and supplier performance reporting.
o Management of the Tier 2 supplier database and any associated ad-hoc insight requests.
o Regular and ad-hoc analysis of contractual communications, financial and commercial

performance and external market data

  • Owner of Supply Chain Data and development of capability

o Maintenance of existing PowerBi reporting capability and support to future development
o Maintain strong integrity of supply chain data, including regular validation.
o Establishment of Power BI dashboards where relevant to supplier performance reporting

capability

  • Professional development of self and people within the team.

Who you are…

  • Analytical ability to understand key trends within datasets.
  • Strong data governance principles and experience in managing complex datasets on large

infrastructure projects.

  • Ability to prepare insight and analysis reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Advanced experience in all Microsoft packages, with exceptional skills in Excel and Power BI
  • Understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change management.
  • Understanding of data management, data flows, PowerApps, Power Automate or similar

platforms is desirable.

  • Qualification in data management, data analysis, computer science or similar desirable
