£35,000 – £40,000 with up to 15% annual bonus

We are looking for Commercial Finance Analyst to acts as business partner to the Community businesses leadership team and finance across the Acacium group. The Community business comprises of multiple brands – Thornbury Community Services, Thornbury Nursing Services, Ellea Nursing, CHS Healthcare and Pulse Nursing at Home – which deliver high quality care at home across the UK. The role operates providing different levels of commercial, operational finance and management accounting support. The Community finance team provides Accounts receivable, billing, Financial Planning and Analysis and Finance Business Partner support with other functions performed centrally.

Having experience using Power Query, SQL (Structured Query Language) or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) will play a key part in your role giving you scope to make efficiencies to the more manual processes that are currently in place to make these more streamlined and automated in order to save time and valuable resource within the team.

Every day you will…

  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place across the Community business to ensure no loss of revenue and margin whilst performing reconciliations across systems, contracts and balance sheets providing adequate support where necessary
  • Provide accurate, timely and robust analysis for the SMT and operational teams. when requested identifying trends which tell the story behind the numbers within the business which can be utilised by the Community SMT to grow the business.
  • Maintain accurate accounting and support with the annual budget process including compilation of relevant data
  • Act as liaison for central and divisional functions, with representation on projects and assisting with annual audit process to provide data when required
  • Be contingency cover for Community Finance Business Partner for workload peaks and slippages
  • Make efficiencies in current more manual processes into automated processes in information gathering to improve the speed in which financial data/reporting can be obtained and used to support business decision making.

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have…

  • Worked in a Financial Planning and Analysis or Assistant Finance Business Partner role previously/currently
  • Experience of reviewing and implementing robust financial controls
  • Expertise in creation and development of Excel-based MI and forecasting templates / models
  • Proactive and inquisitive approach to problem-solving and comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship building skills and customer focus to help establish relationships across the division and SMT
  • Experience using Power Query, SQL (Structured Query Language) or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to make process efficiencies
