Job title: Communications Lead

Job description: Our client is a leading professional membership body based in Central London, we have a fantastic new role joining them on a hybrid basis as Communications Lead – responsible for delivering their member communications across their regional groups in the UK. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Build relationships with members across the UK regions, ensuring the organisation are responding to member requirements off the back of member feedback
  • Support in the development of communications programmes for members, including promotional materials for events and conferences; use this to promote regional events to members
  • Work with the internal media team to ensure any press releases for member communications are aligned with national messaging
  • Create proactive media campaigns as well as responding to media enquiries whilst building strong media relationships
  • Handle enquiries from members ensuring consistent communication and a high standard of customer care.
  • Work to build relationships with regional and location government to assist member regions in influencing policy development
  • Support with copywriting and content creation for government consultations and member communications

The successful candidate will have superb communication skills and excellent writing and reporting skills with an eagle eye attention to detail. With a proven background in communications, ideally within a membership environment the successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy, deadline driven environment with the ability to motivate and engage members through communications.
