Job description: Are you looking for an opportunity to work creatively with people and be part of a forward thinking and innovative team?

The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) is a relatively new service area in the Adult Social Care department, which focuses on early resolution, prevention and promoting independence and well-being. The aim of the service is to help people to maximise their independence as much as possible by providing a wide range of interventions, information, advice and guidance, setting short term goals and identifying support to achieve these goals.

To help us achieve our aim, we are looking for a person with the right skills, knowledge and above all, values. So, do your values match ours?

We think it is important to:

  • Promote people’s independence.
  • Take a personalised approach to supporting people.
  • Provide care and support with dignity and respect.
  • Promote the principles of choice and control.

We are looking for a Community Care Officer to work within the Maximising Independence Service Community Reablement Team, which covers the whole county.

Do you think that you can make a positive contribution to our service? If so we would love to hear from you.

If you feel that you would be well suited to this type of work and have the relevant experience and skills, we welcome an application from you. In return you will receive ongoing training and coaching, regular supervision, annual development appraisals and the support of a highly skilled team. You will be provided with the appropriate technology and access to remote working.
