What you will do:

To provide a specialist dietetic service by interpreting and communicating the science of nutrition into practical dietary advice to promote nutritional well-being, treat disease and prevent nutritional related problems. Providing opportunistic and planned health improvement advice in response to key government health targets.

To offer support, education and training about nutrition and health to health professionals, including students, consultants, GPs, patients, carers and the public. This involves the management, assessment and monitoring of nutritional treatment plans for patients/carers.

This service is provided in a variety of settings including GP practices, health centres, acute and community hospitals, care homes, domiciliary and private and public/voluntary sector.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Essential

Honours Degree/Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics/Post-Graduate Diploma

Registered Dietitian (HCPC)

Can demonstrate range and depth of experience in a variety of conditions and settings.

Knowledge of relevant National Clinical and Professional Strategies/Standards and Guidelines

Evidence of pertinent personal and professional development

Excellent time management

Organisational/self motivational skills

Good interpersonal skills

Good IT skills

Problem solving skills

Presentation skills

Hours:

Up to 33.75 hours

Monday to Friday

would consider part-time hours/job share.

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
