This new role will develop and implement the council’s approach to working with communities and other partners to create better spaces and places for local people.

You will oversee and manage the allocation of the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) funding within Wandsworth, to ensure it is focused on priority areas identified by local communities. This will include evaluation of bids, liaison with service departments and other stakeholders on viability and matching the programme with community led priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with the NCIL Community Engagement team for them to have constructive engagement and dialogue with residents and other partners on proposals which can be developed into viable capital projects suitable for NCIL funding and/or other funding sources.
  • Develop an effective governance and decision making structure for the programme and allocation of funding, and strong communication channels with all stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Monitor and evaluate delivery of funded projects, preparing reports for project boards, identifying issues and mitigation, evaluation of impact, and the production of an annual report.

This is a two-year fixed term post (from appointment). For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Melissa Watson, Head of Communities and Partnerships.
