Job title: Community Fundraising Manager covering North, Midlands and Scotland

Company: Breast Cancer Now

Job description: The role

Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers, and create a sector leading programme, we’ve just reconfigured our community fundraising team.

This rare opportunity has initiated a variety of well-crafted roles. This one is all about making sure that our varied community audiences all have an exceptional fundraising experience with us.

This role will help to develop the strategy and deliver the plans for their regions, making sure all those local opportunities are tapped into. Nurturing and supportive, you’ll work hand in hand with your team to help them engage with a range of new and existing supporters including individuals, groups, clubs and societies, and local companies. And you’ll understand that your team’s success is a key indicator of your effective leadership.

A big focus of this role is to build back our supporter base in the north, midlands and Scotland. As well as driving the acquisition of new supporter relationships, you’ll oversee and help identify potential high lifetime value supporters from our successful DIY fundraising programme.

About you

You’re passionate about providing an incredible supporter experience and when it comes to stewardship, inspiring your team to go the extra mile.

As an integral member of a new team, you’ll have the opportunity to shine. With the support of the senior manager, you’ll shape your local strategy so that you and your team excel; you’ll drive growth, connections and smash your targets. You’re results focused, hands on, and will thrive in this busy supporter facing role, which is jointly in charge of community supporter response handling.

You love teamwork and helping others to achieve amazing results. And you’ll be driven by the buzz which comes from securing new supporters and creating new income. You’ll be able to spot opportunities and execute your ideas through smooth project management.

Your previous experience could be in community or perhaps another fundraising discipline. It’s your success at increasing income at a local level and building brilliant relationships that will make you perfect for this exciting and rewarding role.
