Job description: About the role:Horsham District Council is looking for a Community Link Adviser to work within the Community Link team to provide a community service where you will be promoting, demonstrating and installing personal alarm equipment and providing advice and information to service users on ways to keep safe and independent in their own homes, and to enhance their quality of life. You will be working with people from different backgrounds, especially those who are vulnerable.As a key member of the Community Link team you will provide and maintain a critical service to vulnerable residents throughout the Horsham District, by installing and supporting monitored community alarms and stand-alone assistive technology. You will be giving advice based on an assessment of the service user and their needs. Community Link are passionate about person-centred care. You will respond efficiently and appropriately to the Community Link inbox prioritising enquiries requiring an urgent response, triaging calls and handling personal and sensitive information. You will be required to provide excellent customer service, dealing with written, and telephone enquiries from customers. You will be resolving, signposting, and forwarding for action as required and appropriate.About you:To succeed as Community Link Adviser you will be able to communicate with a range of people from different backgrounds, including ethnic, social, and professional, both verbally and in writing. You must be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will need to be a competent IT user, and able to learn and use different packages and systems.
