The Role

As the Community Manager at Voice®, you will play a pivotal role in managing the growth, engagement and experience of our global citizen community, contributing to the co-development of projects and innovative products and services that promote and support healthy longevity.

You will work closely with the Voice Director and Programme Manager to implement a comprehensive recruitment plan, emphasising inclusion and diversity, to rapidly expand our Voice citizen community. Your responsibilities will encompass building strong partnerships with national and international organisations and networks, delivering presentations at meetings, events and conferences, maintaining an active online presence, and orchestrating engaging events and webinars. You will be proficient in utilising social media to drive community growth, engagement and member experience. You will analyse community data, provide recommendations, and produce regular reports to inform strategic decisions.

This role requires a metric-driven approach, with a focus on recruitment to grow the Voice membership and providing the best possible experience for our members.

Key Accountabilities

Lead the development and delivery of a robust recruitment plan to build, expand and diversify the Voice citizen community, identifying and addressing gaps through strategic partnerships and innovative recruitment mechanisms

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national and international partner organisations and networks to drive the Voice citizen community growth

Deliver presentations at events, conferences, and meetings to promote Voice to a wide range of stakeholders

Review and enhance the Voice member experience from registration, onboarding and active engagement, including all community touchpoints

Create engaging marketing materials and communication assets such as blogs and interviews to foster community interaction

Working with the communications team, develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to attract and engage new Voice members

Organise a dynamic schedule of events and webinars to sustain high levels of community engagement and delight the community

Track and analyse community data, generate briefings, presentations, and reports, and propose actionable recommendations

Collaborate and coordinate activities with NICA colleagues to achieve shared objectives including recruiting Voice members with relevant expertise for various projects

Undertake training and development initiatives to enhance professional growth

Represent NICA and Voice by disseminating information and participating in events, conferences and webinars

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Significant experience of working in a relevant role or demonstrable experience and proven track record working in a comparable setting

Proven track record of successfully building, managing and expanding large citizen communities or networks

Demonstrable experience in utilising digital engagement tools, social media platforms to drive community growth and engagement, with a focus on measurable metrics

Proven relationship building skills and an ability to identify opportunities to achieve successful, mutually beneficial outcomes and excellent interpersonal skills to establish and nurture partnerships with diverse national and international organisations

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for delivering impactful presentations and producing engaging content

Ability to track and analyse data, identify trends, and present insights to inform decision-making

Experience of managing and delivering events and/or webinars

Organisational skills to manage a dynamic event schedule and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Strategic thinker with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and a focus on achieving results

Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances

Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for community engagement and reporting

Desirable

Broad knowledge of healthy longevity and ageing research and innovation

Experience of working within and across public and private sectors

Experience of project management and working within agreed budgets

Experience of facilitating and delivering workshops

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant discipline or significant appropriate work experience
