About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Community Resource Lead to join our passionate foundation. This role is to be an integral part of the wider Community Asset London Team who look after 7 community centres across a varied geographical area. This particular role will provide effective day-to-day management for L&Q’s community centres and provide a professional, inclusive and knowledgeable service to users of the centre.

This is a great role for someone who is customer focused and loves interacting with people. L&Q’s Community centres are at the heart of the community and no two days are the same. You should be well organised, able to work independently as well as in a team and have a real passion for helping people. Experience and knowledge of the housing association sector would be desirable, but not essential.

You will be joining a passionate and caring department with a great culture, so it is important that you resonate with our corporate values. We are looking for candidates with drive and enthusiasm to promote L&Q community centres to potential hirers.

Key roles and responsibilities:

· Lead on centre inspections in accordance with procedures and maintain all associated registers and records

· ensure that centres comply with Health and Safety and other legal requirements to operate safely.

· Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and teams, local residents and user groups to ensure an efficient and customer focussed delivery of services relating to the centres within your region.

· Work with internal and external stakeholders to maximise income produced by L&Q community centres through the provision of projects and activities that respond to local needs.

· Promote and raise awareness of the centres to increase activity levels

· work collaboratively with Community Centre Assistants ensuring the smooth running of our community centres.

· Budgetary responsibility

In order to be successful, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate:

· Experience of community development or working in partnership with community organisations

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

· Experience of managing a community asset

· Great customer service skills in a busy community setting

· Experience of managing budget

· Good IT skills and record keeping

· Flexible and dynamic approach to work

· Strong team player with a passionate and positive attitude

We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.

  • This post is entitled to a monthly essential car user (ECU) allowance.
