From day one you’ll be working in a customer centred environment, in a busy community hub that serves a diverse range of people, partners and organisations.This position is for Weston library, but you may be asked to work in any other North Somerset library.This is a part time, permanent role with a set rota. The hours to be worked are as follows:Week 1 – Monday 10.00am – 05.00pm, Tuesday 10.00am – 06.00pm, Friday – 10.00am – 05.00pm, Saturday – 09.00am – 04.00pm.Week 2 – Tuesday 10.00am – 05.00pm, Wednesday 10.00am – 05.00pm, Thursday 10.00am – 05.00pm, Friday 10.00am – 06.00pm.About youWe are looking for dynamic, well-motivated people to provide a welcoming environment to our customers. You will be hard-working and receptive to change, with a wide general knowledge, an interest in books, and a digital curiosity. You will work in a team, dealing with enquiries and requests, planning and delivering interactive activities, and promoting our services. You will be encouraging the love of reading through a range of promotional activities which will include delivering a weekly Rhymetime or Storytime event to children age 0-5 and their parents / carers; this will involve singing nursery rhymes and songs with enthusiasm.
