Rate: up to £35 per hour
We are recruiting for motivated social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
You must have experience in a similar role.
The role of this position is to provide advice and guidance to practitioners (not members of the public or parents) who are worried about children, sometimes this may be in a face to face scenario (such as a TAF meeting), but generally will be telephone based, driven by requests submitted to an inbox. Our focus is to ensure that children are being provided with good quality support at the right level of intervention.
Support is provided through a manager available for oversight and from peer support from the team who are senior social workers. Our duty system is a well embedded process which runs smoothly.
This post is a countywide post, where we can be flexible which office the worker is based in and can be dependent on the preference of the worker. Once established, this role can be worked from home, but the agency worker will be providing advice and guidance on our countywide duty line for Tewkesbury and Forest areas and will be supported by another social worker.
The ideal candidate would have MASH experience (thresholds / triage), have an understanding of services in Gloucestershire (statutory and non-statutory), the Levels of Intervention and have an empathetic and reflective approach. You need to be able to prioritise and make/record defensible decisions in a timely way. Our duty line is busy but is staffed by two social workers daily.
