We are looking for someone to join the Strontian community nursing team either with previous community nursing experience or just newly qualified. There will also be the opportunity to work across other community nursing teams in Lochaber. The post is for 37.5 hours per week which include weekends and on calls for palliative care as required.

Post registration experience is desirable. You should have a sound knowledge of clinical skills relevant to community nursing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are fundamental to the role, as is the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team. There will be an on call commitment as the service requires for palliative care.

A current driving licence is also essential for this post as you will be expected to drive efficiently and effectively across the remote and rural locality of Lochaber to meet the operational requirements of the service. Whilst access to a pool car is available the use of your own car for work purposes is an essential requirement of the post. Transport may be available from Fort William.
