COMMUNITY NURSING SERVICE
Community Staff Nurse
Southside Team
Band 5 – £30,229 to £37,664 pro rata
Plus £1,279 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata
9 month Fixed Term post (Maternity Cover)
22.5 Hours per Week based at Langabhat Medical Practice (Leurbost)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Southside community nursing team which covers the Lochs and Harris area of the Western Isles.
The role encompasses a focus on prevention, anticipation and supported self-management to enable everyone to live longer, healthier lives at home or in a homely setting.
It is essential you have experience and skills relevant to community nursing which include wound management, continence care and palliative care.
You will need the ability to work independently and as part of a team along with good communication skills.
Evidence of CPD is essential.
The post holder will be required to work an evening on-call and a weekend service on a rotational basis within the Southside team. A flexible working approach is required. You will be a car owner/driver with a full UK driving licence.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
