G2 5ADSalary from £34,400 with 10% Bonus and Single Cover HealthcareFlexible Working PatternThe ScottishPower Compliance Unit (SP Compliance) is an independent, autonomous function of ScottishPower which is responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of the Compliance Programme across the Company.SP Compliance is responsible for promoting high standards of ethical and compliant behaviour across the organisation, through the implementation, development and promotion of Compliance Unit Regulations. The Compliance Programme encompasses the Code of Ethics, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Crime Prevention and Fraud, and the Ethics Mailbox.As Compliance Programme Analyst, you will work with Compliance Officers and the Corporate Compliance team to ensure co-ordination, maintenance and delivery of Compliance programme activity and reporting. You will also be responsible for ensuring all compliance diligence and control activity is carried out appropriately, in accordance with procedures established by SP Compliance and the Group Compliance Unit.Coordinating and producing all Compliance Programme related data and statistics for Compliance reports at Group, Company, and sub-holding level, you will also be required to report to external parties, as applicable.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring the effective and timely completion of compliance procedures, including third party alert monitoring and diligence, background check activity and any other programme controls, you will monitor and manage the dedicated Compliance Unit mailbox, ensuring all contacts are appropriately dealt with and responded to in a timely manner.Supporting and actively contributing to the preparation and delivery of SP Compliance reporting requirements, you will also:Manage all SAP purchase-to-pay processes to support use of annual SP Compliance budgetSupport and actively contribute to the development and delivery of SP Compliance training, communications and awareness activitiesWork with Business Compliance Officers, as required, to provide administrative support with scheduling and delivery of business-specific compliance programme activitiesReview, update and maintain appropriate programme procedure documentation, to support programme controls and any audit requirementsAnticipate and identify potential areas for improvement in the current and emerging Compliance data process to develop a long-term, robust and integrated Compliance reporting, analysis and planning process through periodic monitoringEnsure accurate records of all Compliance Programme activity are maintained, kept up to date and can be appropriately evidenced, within the complete Compliance systemEngage with, and maintain good relationships with Group-wide Compliance teams in order to drive continuous improvement in local activity and reportingSP Compliance is an established component of the ScottishPower Governance and Sustainabiltiy System, reporting to the ScottishPower Audit and Compliance Committee (the SP ACC). The Unit is responsible for reporting to the SP ACC on serious or sensitive compliance matters which could affect the integrity of the organisation and its reporting.Fines and penalties as a result of non-compliance could be significant. Fines can be up to 10% of annual turnover, with Criminal penalties for some areas including custodial and non-custodial sentences.Breaches can have a significant material impact on reputation and the operation of the Company.What you’ll bringWell organised, with a structured approach to workload management and prioritisation, including an ability to work effectively under pressure, you will possess a high degree of professionalism, discretion and integrity, managing confidential and sensitive information confidently and securely.With strong judgement, analysis and reasoning skills including an ability to assess risk and mitigations quickly and effectively, you will be an excellent communicator (written and oral) with strong interpersonal skill.Experienced in preparing data analysis, reports and presentations for senior management with an ability to summarise key information, you will be numerically articulate with strong attention to detail.Displaying commercial awareness to quickly grasp impacts of compliance, you will hold an understanding of the UK legislative framework and industry requirements in relation to compliance.Additionally, you will have working knowledge and an understanding of business requirements in the context of corporate structure, a sound knowledge of risk management and audit techniques and an understanding of controls and control effectiveness assessments.Good working knowledge of SAP purchase-to-pay processes would be beneficial.What’s in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
