Join a thriving company based in Cheshire, specializing in fit-outs and refurbishments within the leisure and hospitality sector. We are seeking a skilled Construction Buyer to focus on the procurement of construction materials. Initially office-based, the role offers the flexibility of remote work once the candidate is established. With a salary range of £35,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience, this role involves overseeing purchasing, contract management, and logistics for projects, including those in Cinemas, Hotels, Bars & Restaurants, Casinos, and small Design and Build projects.

Job Overview:
As a Construction Buyer, you will play a key role in procuring construction materials for projects in the leisure and hospitality sector. This office-based role will evolve to offer remote work opportunities once the candidate is proficient. The ideal candidate will have a general construction background, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage contracts and liaise with subcontractors.

Responsibilities:
Material Procurement: Purchase construction materials in line with project requirements and budgets.
Contract Management: Oversee contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics, including scheduling orders, deliveries, and plant operations.
Subcontractor Liaison: Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate supply of materials.
Budget Monitoring: Monitor spending and waste, identifying cost-effective solutions.
Supplier Identification: Identify and evaluate suppliers, fostering positive relationships.
Program of Works: Work to a program of works, ensuring projects align with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Construction Buyer.
General construction background, preferably in leisure and hospitality projects.
Excellent organizational and contract management skills.
Ability to liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and manage logistics.
Strong budget monitoring and waste reduction skills.

Package:
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000+ (dependent on experience).
Remote Work Opportunities: Available once the candidate is established.
