This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary and applied research team on a project that involves the development of an advanced AI-based Intelligent Golden Thread System for Building Safety Management (i-GBSM) to support responsible parties in compliance with building safety acts and regulations. The project involves the translation of guidance and building regulations from natural language documents to machine-processable format using text mining approaches. The system would be accessible through web interface for recordkeeping and analytic modules to spot non-compliances.
The role will require a mix of strong experience in academic research and collaborative projects in the area of construction informatics. You will have a relevant degree in computer science, engineering, construction, or other related areas, with experience of appropriate dissemination of research outcomes, including journal publication and knowledge exchange activities. A PhD degree in relevant area would be desirable.
You will join the School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Computing based at our City Campus and support our efforts in addressing real-life productivity challenges within the AEC industries through our cutting-edge and applied research.
