Job description: Are you a seasoned Construction Manager with a passion for delivering outstanding commercial fit-out, construction, and refurbishment projects?

My client is a leading firm specializing in delivering top-notch commercial fit-out, construction, and refurbishment projects.

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of projects in the Midlands region.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Project Team: clients, consultants, supply chain and the Inside Project Team.
  • Manage and mentor the Project Team.
  • Recommend and propose improved systems, and procedures for the business.
  • Work with the commercial team to maximise commercial opportunities across the project.
  • Take a proactive role in allocated tender opportunities including the communication with the client’s Project Team.
  • Lead the delivery of a project from appointment to completion: safety, cost, risk, time, quality, logistics, technical, procurement, temporary works, M&E, design, building commissioning, neighbour relations and soft landings.
  • Ensure contractual responsibilities are adhered to.
  • Host regular site progress meetings, supply chain meetings and produce regular project reports (written and visual).
  • Assist in the management of the project construction budget and forecasting expenditure.
  • Ensure full compliance with the QHSE process and policies from the team, site personnel and site visitors.
  • Ensure effective close out and handover, and that all project deliverables are prepared and presented to all agreed dates.

Requirements

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager in commercial fit-out, construction, and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of both traditional and design & build project methodologies.
  • A track record of successful project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.

Expected salary: £55000 per year
