Job description: A leading law firm in Manchester is seeking a Construction Solicitor with 2 years PQE to join its busy and successful Construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on all aspects of construction law including construction contracts, disputes, and project management
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke agreements
- Providing legal support to clients throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion
- Conducting litigation and dispute resolution, including adjudications, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Advising on procurement and tendering issues
- Developing and maintaining client relationships, and actively seeking new business opportunities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor with 2 years PQE in construction law
- Strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage a busy workload and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and excellent drafting skills
