The primary focus of your role will be to design, lead and undertake analysis that solves the client’s operational challenges and to support their decision-making process. This will use a combination of management and technical skills to:

• Support the engagement director or partner;
• Work with leading COTS tools, and those from innovative start-ups, to provide the identification, collection, and aggregation of OSINT, media, social media, gray literature, geospatial data, imagery data, communications data or other publicly available information to undertake critical thinking and produce analytical reports, products, graphics and briefings to communicate the analysis undertaken;
• Customise and develop on All-Source, “Big Data” and cloud platforms to satisfy non-standard product requirements;
• Lead on data ingest, archiving and data management, if required by the client;
• Build and maintain client relationships to support the sales process;
• Support or lead teams of Deloitte and client personnel.

We are currently looking for Consultants with specific expertise in the following:

• All-Source analysis experience, preferably within a Defence and Security context;
• Knowledge and experience of working within the Deep and Dark Web;
• Experience using well known analysis tools and can reliably describe the benefits and pitfalls of each when undertaking different types of analysis;
• Experience of planning and conducting data ingest, archiving and data management at scale;
• Familiarity of undertaking development and analysis within a cloud environment;
• Experience of analytical writing standards (e.g. JSP101) and analysis standards (e.g. the PHIA Probability Yardstick);
• Confidence in briefing, and discussing, analysis results to senior clients;
• Demonstrable high level of attention to detail and understanding of the risk environment;
• Experience of modern Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices;
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent problem solving and conceptual thinking capabilities;

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm.
