Major Programmes Communities
Within Major programmes, you’ll be part of the Capital Programmes team, working with organisations across asset intensive sectors, who are delivering large, complex capital programmes and managing the operations and maintenance of major infrastructure assets.
Our work spans across a number of sectors, which include – Transport, Power and Utilities, Oil and Gas, Mining, Defence, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications.
Through our experience of delivering capital programmes and managing infrastructure assets, we understand that the complexity of challenges our clients face requires us to leverage a diverse range of skillsets and experiences to be able to effectively partner and support our clients. This is evident in the projects we undertake and client challenges we look to solve that see us making use of the breadth and depth of expertise within Deloitte.

Your role will allow you to:
Assist with the design, development and transformation of major programmes, including programme strategy and set up, programme / portfolio delivery, capability and digital transformation, and assurance reviews
- Contribute to client projects including development of engagement plans, production of deliverables, change management activities, and workshop/meeting facilitation across a wide range of propositions, including:
- Operating Model design and implementation
- Project Controls Transformation
- Capability Development
- Digital Transformation
- Asset Management
- Support progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.
- Support the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.
- Support the development of our propositions, solutions and methods, and industry points of view.

All applicants must hold UK security clearance to Developed Vetting (DV) level.
Essential:
- Industry knowledge, trends and insights in capital programmes, bringing lessons learnt and insights to clients and the wider Deloitte group
- Proven experience working in one or more capital intensive industries; including Transport (Rail, Road, Aviation), Power and Utilities, Defence, Manufacturing, Water, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Mining
- Demonstrable experience of delivering on projects associated with major capital programmes or managing large infrastructure assets through either working for an organisation operating in one of the above sectors, or for a management consulting or professional services firm
- Commercial awareness around infrastructure ownership and project delivery (e.g. supply chain challenges, risks and controls, incentivisation) and engagement management (including bidding, performance management etc.)
- Ability to present to client/stakeholders at all levels in an organisation
- Problem solving, attention to details, creative thinking and analytical skills
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, and fast-paced project environments
- Self-starting with high degree of personal motivation and drive.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both team members and clients.

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm.
