The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the growing Content team in Student Services at the University of Bristol. Our aim is to improve the student experience by making support for the student journey more visible, easier to access, fair, student-focused, and responsive. We work with teams to develop clear and engaging online content to help students self-serve and find the information they need when they need it.

What will you be doing?

You will use data and content design principles to create and maintain our digital content and site architecture to ensure it best meets our user’s needs, considering the whole user journey.  

You will need to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills to be able to advise, support and negotiate with colleagues. You will have responsibility for projects, keeping work on track and adapting to changing priorities.

You will also have line management responsibility.

You should apply if

You have:

  • Experience of content design and strategy.
  • Strong writing skills, with good knowledge of accessibility and SEO principles.
  • Experience of leading user research and applying findings to content production.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to bring people on board by communicating how our work supports the needs of students.
  • Experience of explaining content decisions to non-experts
  • Excellent attention to detail with a positive, proactive approach to problem-solving.
