Job description: Role: Content DesignerLocation: BristolHybrid working: YesContent design at NomensaWe’re looking for a content designer to join our team of caring, ambitious and curious content specialists. It’s an exciting time to be part of the content design team as we develop our services and how we work.You’ll develop your content skills through working with public and private sector clients on long and short-term projects. Recent work includes:

  • Working as part of team to redesign a service to search and apply for jobs for a government department
  • Reviewing content for best practice for a utility company
  • Working with designers and developers to create a new website for an ambulance service
  • Conducting a content audit and updating content for an exam board

Beyond the support of the content design team, you’ll work alongside and learn from other user-centred design experts including user researchers, accessibility consultants, interaction designers and service designers.About NomensaNomensa is a strategic experience design agency based in Bristol, London, and Amsterdam.   • Work with other user centred design specialists to create products, services and experiences that meet user needs and business objectives
  • Create clear and engaging content that meets user needs
  • Work on content for different formats such as services, guides and forms
  • Work with other content designers on complex content projects such as content migrations and content strategies
  • Use different approaches depending on the needs of the project, including working to Government Digital Service Standards and agile working
  • Present your work and explain your decisions to different people
  • Support research activities, for example, observing user interviews

  • Ensuring all content is clear, accurate, meets user needs and adheres to brand tone of voice and house style
  • Making complex language and processes easy to understand
  • Using data, research or strategy to inform content decisions
  • Taking ownership of content parts of projects such as writing, audits and reviews
  • Working as part of a team
