- Prepare the Corporate interim and year end financial submissions for AA plc reporting purposes.
- Prepare technical accounting notes and other notes for the record as may be required.
- Perform the Corporate consolidation in HFM.
- Perform share scheme and pension accounting, and other complex accounting as required.
- Prepare Corporate plan and forecasts.
- Prepare relevant significant Corporate Entity financial statements and supplementary submissions to various boards and committees at various times during the year.
- Liaise with the external auditors.
- Facilitate the deregistration and liquidation of dormant entities in the structure.
- Liaise effectively with key contacts in Group Functions such as Global Shared Services; Group Tax; Company Secretarial; Group HR; Group Treasury and Corporate Finance as relevant.
- Identify and facilitate the transfer of appropriate work to Global Shared Services.
- Ensure effectiveness of financial controls within area of accountability.
- Support the implementation of new systems and testing of changes to current systems.
Qualifications
- CA qualified, or equivalent qualification
- Competency in relevant financial systems (e.g. SAP; HFM; Blackline)
- Experience in understanding and interpreting IFRS and other technical pronouncements and their practical application
- Experience in performing complex consolidations
- Experience in statutory reporting and relevant legislation.
- Experience in a multinational business of comparable scale and complexity
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering work to a very high standard
