We are looking to recruit a meticulous and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to come and join our central finance division to provide support and cover for the Central Senior Finance Manager!
This is a hybrid home & office working role, that can be attached to either our Dudley or Bristol office.
Requirements:
Role duties:
- Provide support and cover for the Central Senior Finance Manager
- Monthly Review of Central costs with preparation of necessary accruals & prepayments
- Generate high quality and insightful variance analysis in order to provide timely insight on financial movements to budget holders
- Assist/attend forecast review sessions with budget holders including Workday updates
- Assist budget holders and senior finance manager to delivery accurate and timely business plans
- Work closely with the wider Central Finance team on all month end processes, recharges and reporting
Manage the capex process including:
- Review and approval of capex requests
- Consolidation and forecasting of Group capex and depreciation
- Be a part of the process for purchase requisition approvals
- Ad hoc financial analysis & support
The ideal skill set we’re looking for:
- Hold a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA), part qualified or QBE
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including strong Excel skills)
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage variable workloads at any given time
- Excellent organisational skills
