About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within AUB’s long-established Bournemouth Film School to lead our vibrant and expanding BA (Hons) Performance Design and Film Costume course. The successful applicant will lead a team of academics and work alongside technical staff on this innovative and progressive programme.
You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, student-focused academic learning and teaching and the continuing development of the course curriculum. As a leader of a creative team, you will also contribute to the strategic direction of the School and University.
We are looking for applicants who can draw upon established academic and industrial networks to develop and drive pedagogic initiatives and external partnerships and opportunities. The successful applicant will have considerable experience of, and expertise in the subject area, and an understanding of critical discourses and theory in relation to contemporary practice. Experience in scenography and/or the design of costume for film would be advantageous.
You should be research active and it is desirable that you hold a PhD or can demonstrate equivalent research experience.
