The role
The Course leader of Foundation Studies is responsible for three Foundation programmes in; Design and Media, Fashion and Textiles and Media Production.
At Ravensbourne we are looking for an experienced and passionate Course Leader with teaching excellence and industry knowledge to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the FE wider programmes and expanding department. The post holder will understand effective progression routes and opportunities for learners at level 3 and will play a key role in the development of pastoral enrichment and external collaborations.

The candidate
The post requires excellent knowledge of the Further Education sector specifically relating to external stakeholders such as Ofsted and awarding bodies. The successful candidate would be highly skilled in the management of staff and have experience in supporting professional development outcomes and training. They will be an experienced teacher across further education practices, demonstrating an understanding of student-centred teaching and learning. The post holder will be confident in their ability to build curriculum that is responsive to cultural capital and societal needs of the learner. As a creative educator they will demonstrate contemporary and innovative strategies to contribute to the wider networks across the university.
