We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Course Leader for Games Art and Technology. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to shape the future of our Games Art and Technology program, contributing to the growth and success of our students.
About the Role
The Course Leader will provide leadership in their specialist area and to support the Head of School to ensure that students are at the heart of our curriculum and teaching practices. They will be the university representative for their course and provide day-to-day curriculum and teaching delivery leadership. In addition, they will be responsible for tutor recruitment, line management of teaching staff, ensuring excellent student recruitment, the maintenance of quality and standards, successful student outcomes and equality of access and participation.
Academic Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership for the Games Art and Technology course, ensuring alignment with industry trends and standards.
- Develop and enhance the curriculum, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
Teaching and Learning:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lectures, workshops, and tutorials.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.
Student Support:
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal development.
- Implement strategies to enhance student success and satisfaction.
Industry Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals and organizations.
- Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, and industry placements to enhance students’ exposure and employability.
Research and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of developments in Games Art and Technology.
- Contribute to research activities and encourage a culture of innovation within the department.
