The Role

We currently have an opportunity to join the credit control team as we continue to grow our organisation. The role will focus on delivering Credit Control prominently for the Property, Casualty, Technical & Special Risks department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and distribute invoice not sent and update files.
  • Review and deal with unallocated cash including sundry.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
  • Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
  • Review PCTSR collection Invoicing email inbox and deal with request.
  • Issue monthly statements to customers and issue copy invoices.
  • Review snow tickets and chase for updates.
  • Issue first chaser to accounts due.
  • Able to support fund accounts, top ups, and ticket for payments.
  • Collating market information when data is missing.
  • Liaising with Accounts department in relation technical accounting issues
  • Assist in the set up and processing of fee funds.
  • Building effective internal and external professional relationships i.e., with adjusters within the business internally and with client’s contacts to improve the collection of fees.
  • Deploying escalation tools/procedures to influence a positive outcome, while maintaining effective, professional relationships with our clients always
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records/status on our core systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with CTA procedures and controls

Required Skills

  • Personally driven to process workloads in a timely manner.
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate strong organization skills, and able to prioritize workload effectively to deliver against key targets and core objectives/KPIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating confidence and persistence.
  • Ability to listen to customers, show empathy and negotiate solutions.
  • Analytical skills using MS Office and, strong.
  • Excel skills and use Microsoft application.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail, working with large data sets.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller in a professional services organisation is essential, evidenced by a record of accomplishment of delivering and exceeding targets.
  • A record of accomplishment of building relationships and able to influence positive outcomes with internal and external clients is essential.
  • More than just an administrator, someone who builds strong relationships with customers and creates a rapport built on trust and mutual respect. To be successful in this role, you must be authoritative, knowledgeable, and calm.
  • To be willing to take recognised qualifications (MICM level 3 upwards) would be extremely helpful in this role, but not essential. A proficient level of academic attainment in English, Maths and other subjects will be essential.
