Job description: Credit Controller (Property / Cargo / Aviation) Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum | Location: London

Our client is a growing insurance group based in the heart of the City. The company offer hybrid working. The successful candidate will have Credit Control experience gained the Insurance market and knowledge of Property / Cargo / Aviation class of business, and someone who can read/understand slips, closings, and endorsements. Also experience of clearing run-off or Legacy accounts and the ability to review multiple polices and unravelling complex policies. The team consists of 9 people across Property, Cargo and Aviation. There will be day to day communication with Brokers externally and Underwriters internally. Key responsibilities will include preparing and issuing monthly broker statement of accounts, allocating funds received and requesting closings and slips from Brokers, pursuing debtors frequently by telephone, email, and Teams to secure payment, identifying and escalating NOC from aged debt, being responsible for engaging and chairing meetings with each business unit to address any credit control issues, providing oversight to existing processes, analysing inconsistencies and recording errors in booked premium, and resolving unallocated cash.
