The CRM & Proposal Manager supports the business through CRM management and direct proposal responsibilities for communicating, creating, and executing strategic writing efforts in response to request for proposals (RFP) and requests for information (RFI) in support of our pursuit of new opportunities. This role is initially an individual contributor role that may grow with a few direct reports over time. This position can be remote with up to 10% travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the point of contact for all company sales leads and owner of CRM management
- Liaise with Operations, Estimating, and Corporate Leadership to present opportunities for consideration
- Orchestrate the proposal effort; coordinating efforts and ensuring stakeholder timelines are met
- Lead the proposal writing process to include creation and review of proposal outline to ensure compliance and responsiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments to gather and write proposal content and ensure technical accuracy and adherence to company positioning
- Provide final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance and conformance to established strategies and plans.
- Deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
- Monitor and communicate on all amendments and modifications to the solicitation Adhere to internal processes and serve as an escalation point for issues impacting success
- Track and report proposal win/non-win information to help evaluate the performance of our business development proposal process
- Coach content owners / subject matter experts in proposal best practices
- Continuously improve the proposal process through best practices.
- Coordinate and update proposal content libraries
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in proposal writing, RFP requirements, task order response preparation, and proposal schedule development and monitoring
- Excellent time management skills, detail-oriented, and have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment under stringent time-constraints
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, delegation, and organization skills
- Ability to lead and guide proposal strategies and meetings with key stakeholders.
- Strong team collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently or function effectively as a member of a team
- Must be a strong communicator (written and oral)
- Solid understanding of the business end to end Engineering and Construction
- Be self-directed and highly motivated self-starter
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May experience long hours of sitting
