This mixed needs school for 2-19 year old pupils is looking to engage an interim deputy headteacher for the spring term until a new substantive deputy starts at Easter. You will be one of two deputies covering one of 2 sites. High proportion of pupil premium children and 25% of children with EAL. Pupils needs range from severe to profound to complex needs. The SLT meets regularly and visit each other’s sites. Primary or secondary SEN experience will be considered and will dictate which site the candidate will be based at. I am delighted to be working this one and a half form entry primary school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The current deputy leaves at the end of January. They require an interim from the beginning of January to do a handover and then stay until the end of the academic year.

The school has a high proportion of students on Free School Meals/Pupil Premium. Lots with EAL. Low socio-economic catchment.

This is a non-class based role. Focus will be on Behaviour and Attendance.
