Job description: Customer Support Engineer – Electrical Wiring required. Our client is a well-established provider of electrical lighting controls based in the Farnham area. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking a Support Engineer to join the team.

The successful candidate will be joining the team at their office in Farnham, and be responsible for liaising with customers, providing estimates and coordinating projects.

Customer Support Engineer – Electrical Wiring Position Overview

  • Providing quotations to customers on electrical installations
  • Liaising with customers on their requirements and specifications for projects, including providing technical advice on required cabling, connections and products.
  • Coordinating installation phases with internal staff and contractors
  • Carrying out tool-box talks
  • Answering incoming technical enquiries
  • Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and liaising closely with the design team
  • Occasional travel to customer sites throughout London to assist contractors

Customer Support Engineer – Electrical Wiring Position Requirements

  • Proven experience within an electrical industry, within either an office-based role or hands-on / commissioning role
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Good attention to details
  • Electrically qualified within a HND / HNC or City & Guilds course
  • Based in a commutable distance of Farnham
  • Ability to understand electrical wiring diagrams

Customer Support Engineer – Electrical Wiring Position Remuneration

  • £35,000 – £45,000 – depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30. Permanent position
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Pension
