The difference you’ll make:

· As the UK Respond Manager you will own all cyber security events throughout the incident lifecycle, ensuring all reporting and escalation flows are performed in adherence to agreed documentation and SLAs.

· You will work side by side with the Cyber Detect Team. Cyber Detect manage all security alerts undertaking triage analysis and technical incident response.

· Incident readiness is the first step of the incident lifecycle, preparing for the next incident is of the upmost importance. As Respond Manager you will be expected to deliver a strong incident readiness program.

· Partner with Legal, 2LoD, Major Incident Management, Threat Management, Vulnerability Management, Atack Surface Reduction, Software Engineering, Security Architecture, Platform Support both locally and globally to ensure the best outcomes for customers.

· Lead cross-functional post-incident process reviews to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

· Work closely with Threat Management to identify emerging threats and trends, then conduct threat hunts and tabletop scenarios to improve response readiness.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience leading the response to complex incidents in a large-scale environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Professional and people oriented temperament with tolerance to high-stress situations and ability to patiently rally the less cooperative stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated interest in the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and is able to integrate threat intelligence into incident response strategies to proactively defend against emerging risks.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cyber security operations, incident management or risk management within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong teamwork approach with the ability to build and grow relationships with a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.

It would also be nice for you to have:

· Deep technical knowledge of network fundamentals, common Internet protocols and Cloud Environments

· Strong technical knowledge of incident response frameworks with operational experience and conducting root cause analysis

· Familiarity with cyber security standards and regulatory frameworks (NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001)

· Relevant cyber security certifications

1st Stage – Technical Interview – this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.
