A key part of our Technology function, the Cyber Security Department provides all cyber related services and develops new solutions in collaboration with colleagues from IT Services and across the University, whilst ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of existing solutions. We are a team of collaborators and knowledge sharers working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
You will be joining a Cyber Security team who are committed to the University with a balance of local knowledge and external experience while working on key roadmaps and projects to support University growth.
ABOUT THE POST
Main duties and responsibilities:
The postholder will:
- Lead the day-to-day information security risk activities and support the university security frameworks.
- Support the implementation of information security policy, procedures and standards across the university, while engaging within the university business areas to provide support and guidance for BAU activities.
- Support the university engagement with its suppliers and their security posture to maintain the reduction of our operational risk from 3rd party engagements.
- Liaison with vendors, partners and user groups to support London Met cyber security vision.
- Help in the development and the delivery of our security awareness program across the university.
As a member of the Information Security Team, you will be empowered to work under your own initiative and make key risk-based security decisions to help deliver proactive, pragmatic and risk-informed security.

£34,710 to £41,355 per annum (inclusive of London allowance).
