We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Cyber Security Engineer (Operational Technology/Industrial Control Systems) to be involved in delivering an industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of nuclear power station.
What we’re looking for
The Cyber Security Engineer (Operational Technology/Industrial Control Systems) will lead from the front on cybersecurity issues for the Operational Technology (OT) systems by providing expertise and oversight of technical activities required to protect Rolls Royce SMR OT systems from cyber risks and incidents. You will ensure cybersecurity solutions are provided for the RR SMR Nuclear Power Plant by supporting the procurement, production, operation, and maintenance aspects of the equipment.
In this role you will also support the planning and implementation of governance, policies, and procedures related to the security life cycle.

Key selection criteria for this role is:
Knowledge and experience of producing secure design.
Experience of producing and assessing design specifications to ensure it meets the cybersecurity requirements and provide gap analysis reporting on cybersecurity requirements in line with international credible standards, Relevant Good Practice (RGP) etc. Experience of integrating safety and cybersecurity throughout the lifecycle of C&I systems. Experience of performing security audits. Experience of providing support to the maintenance of asset management of the OT landscape through the accurate representation of logical simple network topology of the C&I architectural design. Working knowledge of production and maintenance of security cases.
Knowledge and experience of Cybersecurity (OT) standards, frameworks and relevant good practice (RGP) relevant to industrial control systems
Working knowledge of appropriate industrial cybersecurity standards and frameworks which provide a risk based and proportionate approach and their implementation across control and instrumentation (C&I) systems. Experience of development of training and cybersecurity culture awareness across relevant disciplines.
Experience in information management and effective communication
Experience in taking information, understanding, and presenting it in an appropriate and compelling format, which includes formal communications to the appropriate stakeholders. Ability to work with the C&! teams and other disciplines providing technical support on cybersecurity issues on OT systems. Experience of working with other disciplines to translate high level requirements into a specification. Experience of liaising with regulators and independent nuclear safety assessors is desirable.
The ability to provide technical oversight of the work carried out by supply chain partners.
