Job description: Security Assurance Analyst – Active SC Clearance – £550/day Outside IR35 – Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid) – 3 months (SCC FLEX CONTRACT).We are seeking a Security Assurance Analyst (SC Cleared) to join our client’s security team, tasked with safeguarding information against cyber threats. This role will report directly to the Head of Security, contributing to the strategic and operational aspects of information security, compliance, and assurance.Your Responsibilities as Security Assurance Analyst:
- Coordinate and take ownership of assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance.
- Enhance responses to both internal and external audits, advising on regulatory changes and reporting needs.
- Review and refine the IT control and assurance framework to meet current regulatory standards.
- Create and update formal documentation in line with regulatory changes.
- Provide assurance and guidance on policies to ensure alignment with internal governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective assurance mechanisms.
- Support the development of information risk management practices.
- Produce detailed assurance reports for internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.
Your skills as a suitable Security Assurance Analyst:
- Active SC Clearance.
- Proven IT and Information Security knowledge, with certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or ISSAP.
- Familiarity with Information Assurance concepts, frameworks, and best practices.
- Expertise in standards like COBIT, ISO27001/2, and NIST.
- Experience within Information Security, particularly in an Information Assurance Manager or Governance role.
- Knowledge of IT-related regulatory standards/directives, e.g., Network & Information Systems (NIS) Regulations.
