About the Role:

As the D2C Digital Growth Marketing Manager at Ferrero, you’ll spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at boosting Thorntons D2C’s revenue through innovative sales and proprietary channels. Collaborating closely with a diverse D2C team, your role involves fortifying the commercial success of D2C Ecommerce. Your focus within owned channels encompasses elevating customer lifetime value (LTV) and purchase frequency via email, social media, direct mail, and referral channels. This entails crafting a comprehensive strategy, showcasing technical proficiency, and ensuring end-to-end delivery.
Your expertise will showcase top-tier campaign and automation strategies, geared toward enhancing customer loyalty, maximising LTV, and increasing purchase frequency. Moreover, your scope extends to scouting new sales channels, broadening Thorntons’ market reach, including avenues like Corporate and Amazon FBA. You’ll be entrusted with maintaining the trading plan while fostering collaborative partnerships with the brand team and various stakeholders to execute these strategies seamlessly.

Main Responsibilities:

You will define the short and long-term digital growth trajectory for D2C, emphasising owned channels and marketplaces while aligning with brand positioning and sales goals. Assessing market positions, you’ll propose necessary adjustments to meet sales objectives. Additionally, identifying opportunities and challenges within the marketing stack, you’ll spearhead initiatives to enhance performance and implement impactful changes.

In a tactical capacity, your role involves swift identification and response within owned and marketplace channels to ensure target achievement. Implementing retention plans will be crucial in fostering repeat purchases and nurturing customer loyalty. Continuous monitoring of the eCommerce landscape will guide strategies aimed at retaining customers and seizing market opportunities.

Within the commercial domain, understanding key performance metrics such as LTV, Churn, and Frequency is essential. You’ll be instrumental in comprehending acquisition media metrics and influencing their outcomes. Reviewing and enhancing retention performance while monitoring and reporting on retention volumes against forecasts will be part of your responsibilities.

Customer management will entail collaborating on defining customer personas and devising tailored retention plans. Your leadership will drive the execution of strategies across various channels, including Email & SMS for both first-time and repeat shoppers, direct response and retargeting via social media, seasonal direct mail, in-pack leaflet strategies, and implementing a word-of-mouth (refer-a-friend) approach.

In optimising customer experience, leveraging automation throughout the customer lifecycle will be pivotal to enhancing their journey. Moreover, your role will involve developing a loyalty program aimed at fostering customer advocacy and deepening engagement.

Who we are looking for:

Your will have expertise in crafting customer retention strategies that take into account the entire customer lifecycle and prioritize maximising Customer Lifetime Value (LTV). Knowledge of designing and implementing an omni-channel digital marketing strategy focused on retention will be central to your responsibilities. Your hands-on experience across Email, Social, Direct Mail, and Referral channels will be instrumental in executing these strategies effectively.

You will have knowledge and understandand of analysing retention performance metrics, including frequency and loyalty indicators, will guide your approach. Mapping out customer journeys from post-purchase to re-purchase and utilising attribution models will further refine your strategies. Your proficiency in utilising Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Media Services adds depth to your skill set, enriching the avenues for customer engagement and growth.

Your expertise in the entire marketing stack, encompassing tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Merchant, Tag Manager, and Ads, will play a pivotal role in optimizing digital endeavors. Leveraging this expertise, you’ll drive growth through Public Relations (PR) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) channels, drawing from a successful track record of execution. Your ability to fine-tune SEO strategies, refine marketing approaches, and elevate CRM initiatives will collectively contribute to the overall success and effectiveness of this role.
