Job Description:
We are recruiting for Non-Performing Loan (NPL) focused Data Analysts. The role is part of the analytics team, a team developed to support the company’s asset management functions in investment and asset management decision making and is an exceptional opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their understanding of the entire investment cycle, from asset pricing to asset disposal.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Use insightful data analysis to support Amitra in a wide range of activities including portfolio strategy definition, business plan forecasts and portfolio reporting.
- Stratify and analyse large data sets to identify historical performance trends, detect correlations, identify key drivers, trends and potential synergies across Amitra’s portfolios to maximize and unlock value.
- Support the preparation of portfolio business plans as well as internal reports and documents.
- Monthly portfolio performance reporting, BoD presentation materials, documentation supporting portfolio business plans etc.
- Review potential buyer inquiries and requests for data.
- Update data tapes with latest NPL portfolio information and KPIs.
- Analyse portfolio segmentation and identify optimal divestment strategies.
- Prepare presentations on a quarterly basis and support team efforts during portfolio sales negotiations.
- Monitor relevant performance indicators, back test model assumptions vs actual performance.
- Update internal NPL forecasting models with latest data and support analysts into NPL modelling.
- Review and recalibrate NPL forecasts based on performance and adjustments.
- Present NPL forecasts and analyses to relevant stakeholders.
- Extract and compile relevant financial and NPL data for reports.
- Draft routine reports for internal management, automate using excel, alteryx and visualize using PowerBi.
- On a monthly basis prepare automated and tailored reports for board of directors, executive committee, and lenders.
- Summarize key NPL trends and insights for stakeholder presentations on a quarterly basis.
- Monitor portfolio performance metrics and identify potential improvement areas, provide insightful analytics to asset managers on maximizing portfolio’s value.
- Conduct quantitative analysis of asset management campaigns and their impact.
- Evaluate NPV optimization strategies and recommend adjustments, on a monthly basis.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing asset management analytics findings on a quarterly basis.
- As needed participate in NPL portfolio acquisition discussions and due diligence processes.
- Support in evaluate pricing models and potential portfolio acquisitions.
- Contribute to drafting underwriting recommendations and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills & Qualities Required:
- Keen interest to specialise in credit investments.
- Strong quantitative, technical, financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Experience and passion for analysing and modelling large datasets.
- Ability to distill complex information towards answering a specific question.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, external partners & senior asset management team, both orally and in writing.
- Experience with programming languages (ideally R, Python, VBA) and data management (as, for example, Alteryx) tools is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and business relationship skills.
- Fluency with additional European languages (including any of Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Italian) is desirable.

- Ascertain how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems.
- Gather, inspect, cleanse, transform and model data to identify patterns and trends.
- Present data and produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
- Use advanced theory and diverse techniques to harness greater understanding.
- Inform decision-making and make recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
- Ensure your business processes and procedures are compliant with data protection legislation.
